Fletch & Vaughan Are Leaving The Edge Radio Station

Confirmed by twitter this afternoon to many disappointed fans;

In my words the nation’s favourite radio hosts Carl Fletcher and Vaughan Smith, better known as “Fletch and Vaughan” will leave MediaWorks (currently unknown when) to join The Radio Network which owns a raft of radio stations including ZM, Classic Hits and Radio Hauraki.

An updated version of The Edge’s website still had them listed under current shows, weekdays 3pm – 7pm.

The Radio Network chief executive Jane Hastings says the pair will join TRN in 2014, but at this stage no other details have been finalised.

The duo will work on one of the station’s recently refreshed brands Ms Hastings said.

Shortly after the announcement, Fletch and Vaughan’sFV Facebook page became unpublished,  meaning facebook.com/FletchAndVaughan will redirect you back to your Facebook homepage for the time being.

Update 31/07/13: It appears the reason why they’re not on-air at present is that there simply on holiday.

Update 05/08/13: They returned to their drive slot on The Edge this afternoon from their holiday.

Update 05/08/13: Their Facebook page also returned this afternoon.

Update 23/08/13: TRN press release now available confirming their leaving.

Whichever station they end up at and not forgetting which timeslot, I wish the pair all the best for the future.
